About Practical Glamour
Wearable performance art for bold bodies

Practical Glamour is a lesbian-owned label making festival, carnival, alternative, kink and queer nightlife wear. Every piece is made by me, Kyla, in London: capes that move when you do, epaulettes, harnesses, headpieces, catsuits and the little finishing touches that make a look yours.

I’ve been hand-making this kind of wear for 15 years, and my shop won the LAMIE Best Fetish Retailer award five years running. Practical Glamour is for festival creatures, kink queens, rave goblins, drag artists and anyone who’d rather be seen than blend in.

Practical, because it has to survive a dance floor, a field or a 12-hour shift in heels. Glamour, because why else bother.

Who makes Practical Glamour?
Kyla, by hand, in London. Resold pieces (like the slogan jewellery) are curated by Practical Glamour and labelled as such.

Is everything made to order?
Most pieces are made to order for you, so allow 1-2 weeks before dispatch. Face masks and Christmas stockings post within 3-5 working days; slogan jewellery within 3 weeks.

Do you ship outside the UK?
Not at the moment: UK only, by Royal Mail.

Can I commission something custom?
Yes. Commissions start from £45 (epaulettes) and go up to full looks. Head to the Commissions page to enquire. For Christmas, enquire by Friday 13 November.
